Escape from Atlantis

Atlantis is a board game by Julian and C. Courtland Smith for 2 to 4 people from 8 years.

It first appeared in 1982 as Survive! Parker Brothers in the U.S. and bilingual than Survive! Survivre! in Canada. The island in this version consists only of plates made ​​of cardboard. Waddington Games in 1986 introduced a new version with three-dimensional island of plastic parts under the title Escape from Atlantis in Britain. This version also appeared in Canada at Waddington Sanders. 1988 Schmidt Spiele acquired a license for the production of Atlantis in Europe. Description

The game lasts about 50 minutes and is designed to simulate the rescue of the people of the gradually sinking island of Atlantis. Aim of the game is its own game pieces to bring all to the country and to prevent the other players from doing this.

Accessories

The playing field is divided into a number of hexagonal fields. In the four corners there are coral reefs that serve the citizens of Atlantis later as bank -saving.

First, the island, consisting of gray (mountains ), green (forest ) and yellow ( beach ) is built plastic parts. Alternately now represent the players their twelve figures ( different colored pawn ) to the parts.
