Essential Mix
The Essential Mix is a weekly music show on BBC Radio 1 that supports all styles of electronic dance music. The program will be moderated since its conception in 1992 by DJ Pete Tong. Every Saturday will be sent a 2- hour program, usually 3:00 to 5:00 clock UK time (previously sent from 02:00 bis 04:00 clock ). The standard format of the show consists of a 2-hour guest mix an invited DJs, a group or a producer who is previously announced by Pete Tong.
Usually the mix is taken in advance already in the recording studio. However, there are also live broadcasts from clubs or festivals. In the summer months of events within the UK, transferred from Ibiza and across Europe. In the winter, is transferred inter alia, the Miami Winter Music Conference.
