Pete Tong

Peter " Pete " Tong MBE ( born July 30, 1960) is an English DJ, who has been with BBC Radio 1.

Pete Tong was known primarily for the radio show Essential Mix, a weekly music show on BBC Radio 1 that supports all styles of electronic dance music. The show will be hosted by him since 1992. His concept has remained the same over the years: Pete Tong presents the most important releases from England in the areas of house and techno before.

In the early 1990s, Pete Tong gave out several CD series and made it to up to six editions within a year.

For years he held on his Ibiza Wonderland parties. Since 2008, this found in Eden, held in San Antonio. Tong was dedicated to the movie title It's All Gone Pete Tong.

In 2014 he was inducted into the Order of the British Empire.
