Estadio Francisco Villa

The Estadio Francisco Villa is a stadium in Zacatecas, the capital of the federal state in Mexico. The name of the stadium, which can be used for athletics and football events as well as concerts, was awarded in memory of the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa ( 1878-1923 ).

History

The stadium was opened in the run-up to the discharged in Mexico FIFA World Cup 1986, but was no match venue of this tournament.
