The Estadio Manuel Ferreira ( German: Manuel Ferreira Stadium ), also El Bosque de Para Uno or shortly called El Bosque, is a stadium in the Paraguayan capital Asunción. It was opened in May 1964 and holds 22,000 spectators. The home of football club Olimpia Asunción was named after former club president Manuel Ferreira.

History

The stadium was officially opened by the game Olimpia Asunción against FC Santos (2-2 ) in May 1964. The rush for the game, took part in the Pelé was so great that the audience capacity of the stadium has been exceeded. Nickname

The nickname El Bosque de Para Uno comes from the surrounding stage the large trees which give the impression that you are in a forest located (Spanish Bosque dt = forest ) and the train line "Uno " (one) which at the location of stadium formerly ran past.
