Euglyphida
Euglypha sp.
The Euglyphida are an order of unicellular eukaryotes that are provided to the Cercozoa. There are provided with shells amoebae.
Features
The representatives feed on heterotrophic. The cell is in a shell of imbricate overlapping silicate scales. The scales are connected by an organic cement.
System
The Euglyphida are provided along with the Thaumatomonadida in the group of Silicofilosea. They are of Adl et al. according to morphological features in four families divided:
- Euglyphidae: The scales are thin and round to elliptical. Assulina
- Euglypha
- Placosista
