European Association of Co-operative Banks

The European Association of Co-operative Banks ( EACB, German European Association of Cooperative Banks ) was founded in 1970 and is one of the leading banking groups in Europe.

Members are cooperative banking groups from 21 European countries, including Eastern European countries. The 45 million members, who are represented by the EACB, representing 60,000 branches with over 650,000 employees. The share of EACB members is currently about 20%. The EACB is the official contact for EU institutions in cooperative issues.

The object of the EACB is further submitted that the cooperative banks of the members informed of important changes in the European banking sector and to coordinate the cooperative interests of the countries represented 21.
