European Jewish Congress

The European Jewish Congress ( EJC ) was founded in 1986 by the European branch of the World Jewish Congress. It is headquartered in Paris and is an umbrella organization of several national Jewish organizations in Europe.

History

At its meeting in February 2008, the Central Council of Jews in Germany, the example of Austria, France and Portugal decided to follow and to suspend membership of the EJC until further notice.
