European Quality Award

The European Quality Award is awarded by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM ), based in Brussels. It was developed as a European response to the U.S. Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and the Japanese Deming Award from the EFQM.

The selection is made via a self-assessment scheme, the EFQM model, the very high demands on the "maturity" of the company and goes far beyond the usual quality management systems.

Since the criteria for SMEs can only be met with a great deal of effort, there are methods to facilitate the process, including Future e.V..
