The European Route 24 (short form: E 24 ) results in an east-west direction through the center of England from Birmingham via Northampton to Cambridge and finally to Ipswich in Suffolk. The European route 24 is as a complementary route a connection from the European Route 5, which runs past Birmingham to Europe Road 30, which runs from Ipswich from the coast, and finally on the continent into remote parts of Russia.

Until the European Rugby road follows the course of the M6 motorway, and then share the route with the M1 Motorway. In Northampton, the European Route 13 is crossed. To the east is then Cambridge and finally reaches Ipswich via Bury St Edmunds.
