Eva Kotthaus

Eva Anna Kotthaus ( born May 19, 1932 in Dusseldorf ) is a German film and stage actress.

Life

Kotthaus graduated from 1951 to 1953 her acting training at the Otto Falkenberg School in Munich, then worked as a performer at various stages until 1957, a commitment to the German Theatre in Berlin led. Here they launched a comprehensive theater career and worked alongside numerous theater performances also increased with in film productions. Her film debut was in 1954 in the DEFA film adaptation No Hüsung directed by Artur Pohl, where she starred opposite her future husband, Rudolf H. war the female lead role of maid Mariken Brandt.

She received the 1956 film tape in silver as best young actress for her role as Anna Kaminski in sky without stars. Other film and television work for the East German DEFA followed, before it was in 1957, only to see in West German productions. Her first television appearances in the West they had in the hot heart with Hanns Lothar and Benno Sterzbach, as well as in Wolfgang Borchert's drama outside the door with Paul Edwin Roth and Malte Jaeger.
