Eva Wagner-Pasquier
Eva Wagner- Pasquier ( born April 14, 1945 in Oberwarmensteinach ) is a German theater manager and - jointly and equally with her half-sister Katharina Wagner - artistic director and director of the Bayreuth Festival.
Biography
Eva Wagner- Pasquier is the daughter of Wolfgang Wagner and his first wife Ellen Drexel and thus great-granddaughter of Richard Wagner and great- great-granddaughter of Franz Liszt.
After the death of Wieland Wagner was Eva Wagner in Bayreuth from 1967 to 1976 worked as assistant to her father. She discovered the tenor Peter Hofmann, and was instrumental in the cast and rehearsals for the "Century Ring" by Patrice Chereau 1976. Then she left the festival, as it had come to an estrangement between her and the father due to the divorce of their parents.
In the aftermath Wagner-Pasquier was an assistant from August Ever thing and Otto Schenk and worked at the Vienna State Opera. When the Unitel production company she worked for more than 30 operas and 120 concert films. In 1984, Wagner- Pasquier Director at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, in 1987 she took over the program management in the management of the Opéra Bastille in Paris. Her father, who had an unlimited term employment contract, then rejected this vote because he favored his second wife Gudrun as a successor. Only after the unexpected death of Gudrun Wagner end of 2007 there was a " cautious rapprochement " between Wolfgang Wagner and Eva Wagner- Pasquier. In April 2008, Wolfgang Wagner agreed, for the benefit of his two daughters - Eva and her half-sister Katharina Wagner - resign. Then both filed a joint application with the Board of Trustees, with a majority of 22 votes took this on September 1, 2008 ( with 2 abstentions ).

Eva Wagner- Pasquier is married to the film producer Yves Pasquier. Their son Antoine Amadeus Pasquier was born in 1982.
