Evangelos Nessos

Evangelos Nessus (* June 27, 1978 ) is a former German football player and current coach.

Career

The professional career of midfielder started in 2001 as a substitute in the Bundesliga 1 FC Cologne, with which he descended to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the 2001/02 season. After Nessus could not establish the pro squad of the club - it was a total of six missions -, he was assigned to the 2nd team of the club in the Regionalliga.

In summer 2004, he joined the third division TuS Koblenz, where he immediately became a regular player. In 2006 he went to the club on to the 2nd Bundesliga. In June 2009, he ended his career due to injuries.

Nessus then worked in the youth field TuS and took over responsibilities in the office. For the season 2011/12 he was assistant coach of the then newly obligated coach Michael Dämgen. On September 11, 2012, he was a transitional team manager as successor to Dämgen. After two games under his direction Peter Neustadt was engaged as the new head coach; Nessus returned to his former place back as an assistant coach. During the course of the season his contract was extended as an assistant coach in 2015. After a weak start to the 2013/14 season Peter Neustadt was released in August 2013. Nessus was then the new team manager of the first team.

In March 2013, Nessus was elected at the general meeting of the TuS Koblenz in the extended Bureau of the club where he is responsible for the interests of the youth department.
