Fábio dos Santos Barbosa

Fabio Barbosa dos Santos, shortly Fabio Santos ( born October 9, 1980 in Campina Grande ) is a Brazilian footballer. Currently, the midfielder in the French Ligue 1 Olympique Lyon representatives under contract.

Career

Santos ' professional career began in 1999 in his Brazilian homeland in Santo André. There he spent two seasons before joining only for a year to Rio Branco, and then two years after São Caetano. For the season 2004 /05 he tried the first time to move to a European league and joined the Portuguese club Nacional Funchal ( Madeira). But after one year, he moved back to Brazil and signed with Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte. During the winter break of the season 2006/ 07 he decided the second time in Europe to play and changed for 4.2 million € to Olympique Lyon in France. He had his first mission on 10 February 2007 league game against FC Lorient operation. In the first year there he won the championship and the Super Cup. But the second stay in Europe was not successful for Santos ' view and then his club decided to a loan deal. During the winter break of the 2007/08 season he was loaned to Sao Paulo. In the summer of 2008 he returned to Lyon. His current contract with OL runs until 2010. For 2009/10 season he moved free transfer to Fluminense. After just one league games, he moved to league rival and former club Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte.
