Fabrice Lhenry

Fabrice Lhenry ( born June 29, 1972 in Lyon ) is a French professional ice hockey goaltender who stands since 2009 in Rouen Hockey Élite 76 in the French Ligue Magnus under contract.

Career

Fabrice Lhenry began his career as a hockey player at SC Saint- Gervais, for which he was in Division 1, the French second division, active from 1989 to 1991. Then the goalkeeper played a game time for their league rivals Girondins de Bordeaux, as well as four seasons long for the record champions Chamonix Hockey Club in the Ligue Magnus. After he was first in the 1996/97 season with Brest Albatros hockey in his career, French Champion, Frenchman joined for the first time abroad in Europe, where he stood the next two seasons for the Frankfurt Lions of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga on the ice.

Following his involvement in Germany Lhenry ever played one year for his former club Chamonix Hockey Club in his native France as well as the HC Milano Vipers in the Italian Serie A1. After another four years at HC Mulhouse, with whom he surprisingly champion in the season 2004/ 05, received the now 33- year-old national player a contract with EfB Ishockey, for which he received the 2005 to 2009 in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen between post stood. He then signed a contract with the French top club Rouen Hockey Élite 76, with whom he again French champion was in the first year after his return from the start. In the season 2010/11 he won with the Double Rouen league and Coupe de France.

In his career Lhenry was five times awarded the Trophée Jean Ferrand as the best goalkeeper in the Ligue Magnus, which he is together with Petri Ylönen record winners of the trophy.

Internationally

For France Lhenry took at junior level at the U18 Junior B Championship in 1990 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 1991 and 1992 in part. In the senior level, he stood in the squad of his country at the B World Championships in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007, and at the A World Championships in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Moreover, he stood for France at the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, 1994 Lillehammer, Nagano 1998 and 2002 in Salt Lake City between the posts. At the World Championships he won numerous individual awards.
