Fairmount is a town in Grant County, Indiana, about 90 km northeast of Indianapolis. The town has about 3,000 inhabitants and covers an area of ​​approximately 3.8 square kilometers.

In Fairmount were settled in the 1830s, especially Quakers from North Carolina. The place is named after the Fairmount Park in Philadelphia, which in 1870 was officially recognized.
