Geography

The region is located in the north of the country and is bordered to the north, east and south-east by Chad, on the southwest by the Northern Region and to the west by Nigeria. The topography of the region is dominated in the north to the south of the Mandara Mountains, in the central part of the plains of the Waza - level and the Firki levels of Chad Basin.
