Farouk Kaddoumi

Faruq al - Qadumi (Arabic al - Faruq فاروق القدومي Qadūmī ), also known as Abu al - Lutf (* August 10, 1931 near Nablus ) is Secretary of the PLO and lives in Tunis.

Life

Al- Qadumi grew up in Jaffa, where his family fled in 1948. He received his degree in Lebanon, and he became a member of the Baath Party. From 1954 to 1958 he studied in Cairo Economic and Political Science. He was one of the founders of Fatah in 1959 and in 1967 head of the secret service. Since the death of Yasser Arafat, he is also Secretary General of Fatah. He is one of the biggest critics of Mahmoud Abbas.
