Faruk Hadžibegić

Faruk Hadžibegić ( born October 7, 1957 in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, now Bosnia - Herzegovina) is a Bosnian football coach and former football player.

Career

Hadžibegić played from 1975-85 with FC Sarajevo which in 1985 he was Yugoslav champion. In the same year he moved to Spanish club Real Betis in 1987 for French club FC Sochaux. 1990 Hadžibegić with Sochaux French runners-up and reached the Yugoslav national team the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Italy. In 1991 he was one reaching the UEFA Cup semi-final.

Overall, he enters 1982-1992 61 caps for Yugoslavia.

1995 ended Hadžibegić his active career and was at Sochaux coach. In 1998, he reached the summit in the Ligue 1 In 1999 Hadžibegić the Bosnian national team and in January 2000, Betis Sevilla. In 2001, he went on with Sevilla. In April 2002, he moved to ES Troyes AC and in May 2004 he took over the Turkish club Gaziantepspor. In 2006, he became coach of Diyarbakirspor, at the beginning of the season 2006/ 07 he took over Denizlispor. From January to May 2007, he coached Chamois Niort, in December 2007, he took over as coach at the FCO Dijon and 24 months later he broke Philippe Anziani from the second division taillight SC Bastia. From October 2010, trained Faruk Hadžibegić the seven match days still point-less Erstliganeuling AC Arles -Avignon. However, he could not prevent the transition to Ligue 2 and was released in November 2011.
