Fatih Akyel (2013 )

Fatih Akyel ( born December 26, 1977 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player.

Club career

Akyel began his football career at age six when Istanbul amateur club Kaanspor. With 16 years of change to Konyaspor and a few years later came to Galatasaray. With Galatasaray Fatih 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 Turkish Süper Lig Champion, 1997, 1998 and 2000 Turkish Cup winners and 2000 UEFA Cup winners and UEFA Super Cup winner.

In 2001 Akyel to the then Spanish Champions League Presenting Real Mallorca. After only one year Fatih Akyel accepted an offer to Fenerbahce, with whom he was in 2004 the Turkish champions. In the season 2004/ 05 he was singled out by his coach Christoph Daum, followed in the winter break of the change to VfL Bochum. At the beginning of the 2005/06 season finally drew him to Greece, where he played for PAOK Salonika. Since January 2006, Fatih Akyel plays in the Turkish Süper Lig for Trabzonspor. For the season 2007/ 08 he spent one season on MKE Ankaragucu.

During the winter break of the season 2009/10 he canceled 05 hours before his scheduled arrival in Germany already decided and published a change to KFC Uerdingen.

National

From 1997 to 2004 Fatih Akyel was a fixture in the Turkish national team. He made his debut on 20 August 1997 at 6:4 win over Wales in qualifying for the World Cup 1998. During third place at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea, he was also in the process on a regular place.
