FC Banants

The FC Bananz Yerevan is an Armenian football club from the capital Yerevan, which is currently in the Bardsragujn chumb (1st League ) plays.

History

The club was founded as Bananz Kotayk Abovyan 1992 ( Kotayk region ). In the same year of winning the first cup competition, as in the final Homenetmen Yerevan succeeded could be defeated by a 2-0 win. Between 1995 and 2001 the club merged with FC Kotayk Abovyan. After the separation in 2001, the company moved to Yerevan, where to play since then.

In early 2003, the club merged with the younger Spartak Yerevan, where the communist club Spartak name disappeared. Major players like Samwel Melkonjan played under Bananz. 2007 Armenian Cup was won thanks to professional work.

In recent years, Bananz could repeatedly chumb place on the front ranks of Bardsragujn, reaching the qualifying round of the UEFA Cup, but failed there regularly. 2003 and 2004 also had one each in the National Cup final. MIKA Ashtarak (1-0 ) and FC Pjunik Yerevan ( 6-5 on penalties ), however, were too strong for the club.

In the 2012/13 season finished Bananz only the eighth place in the table and would actually descended chumb in the Aradżin. However, pulse Dilijan moved on June 26, 2013 back voluntarily, whereby the FC Bananz still held as a Table class.
