FC Neman Grodno

The FK Neman Grodno ( white russian ФК Нёман Гродна, Russian ФК Неман Гродно / FK Neman Grodno ) is a football club from the Belarusian city of Hrodna. He plays in the Wyschejschaja Liha, the top division of Belarus. In 1993, the club won with the White Russian Football Cup 's only previous title.

History

The FK Neman Grodno was founded in 1964. He received the name of the river Memel (Russian Неман / Neman, Belarusian Нёман / Neman ), lies on the Hrodna. From 1972 to 1992 he was called Chimik ( Хімік ) Grodno, 1999-2002 Neman Grodno - Belcard.

After the club was previously active in the Soviet Second League called third- highest division of the Soviet Union, in 1992 he became a founding member of Wyschejschaja Liha, the top division of the newly independent Belarus in 1991.
