FC Triesenberg

The FC Triesenberg is the football club in the municipality of Liechtenstein Triesenberg. It was founded in May 1972, the club colors are blue and yellow.

History

The FC Triesenberg is one of only seven Liechtenstein Football clubs. Like all other clubs he therefore takes part in the Swiss league operation. There, the club began in 1972 in the 4th league (then six top division, now seventh-highest ) and in 1978 became the first champion, but could not prevail in the rise of games. Two years later you could after the championship games in the rise not say. Only in the season 1986/1987 was reached already after the third title in the 3rd League ( Switzerland ) ( was the fifth highest league, now six highest). Until 1998, you could hold it in this league, but then had to go back. Three years after the descent was successful return to the third league. In the 2009/2010 season the club was there champion and rose for the first time in its history in the second league.

The FC Triesenberg Liechtenstein is the only club who has never reached the final of the Liechtenstein Cup. The semi-final he reached for the last time in the season 2010 /2011.

Venue

With the construction of the sports facilities Leitawis was started on 27 October 1971. Almost two years later, on September 23, 1973, the game could start. The playing field has a size of 98 x 56 meters. In the stands only 800 spectators, including about 100 spaces are covered. The stadium is also interregional very well known.
