Felix Bohnke

Felix Bohnke ( born September 2, 1974 in Königstein im Taunus ) is a German drummer, who has become especially known for his work with the band Edguy.

Career

At the age of eight years Bohnke played for the first time in a drum group. Two years later he was awarded the first private lessons at the music school of Konstanz. He was playing gigs already with a percussion group until it 5 - shipment Hard 'n Heavy came by his own admission in 1987 by the Tele on the taste of hard rock. After his family in the late 1980s moved to Marburg, he learned at the music school reinforced rock drums. There, he formed his first band Merciless Gnome, in which he was six years active and with whom he released three demo recordings. To this end, he had a band called Exiled and played in the big band of his school.

In the summer of 1998, Felix Bohnke joined the German power metal band Edguy. The band released nine studio albums since then; achieved thereby Age Of The Joker in 2011, number 3 on the German album charts. By April 2014, the publication of the tenth album SPACE POLICE is - Defenders Of The Crown planned. Bohnke played with Edguy, among others, as the opening act for Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Slash and Motorhead. He also played on several occasions at international festivals such as the Download Festival and Wacken Open Air

In addition, Felix Bohnke is still active as a drummer Tobias Sammet from Avantasia solo project. He played on the albums The Wicked Symphony and Angel Of Babylon Guest Posts and was with the band at live performances go. Bohnke graduated with Avantasia all three tours, the Scarecrow Worldour, the Metal Opera Comes to Town Tour and the Mystery World Tour.
