Fell (comics)
Fell is a written by Warren Ellis and Ben Templesmith drawn comic series. It is published by Image Comics since September 2005.
Fell is an experiment - by 9 panels per page, he succeeds more history on fewer pages to tell. Each issue consists of a self-contained story and an annex, "Back Matter", the background information, answers to readers 'mail and ideas for stories, often in the core based on a true story by Ellis ' statement contains. The series received two nominations for the Eisner Awards 2006 ( Best New Series and Best ongoing comic ), but went in the allocation of empty.
Plot view
The stories are about life of the policeman Richard Fell, who has been transferred to the city of Snowtown. The reasons for his transfer initially remain unknown. The town of Snowtown is characterized by crime and poverty, and offers a very gloomy backdrop of action. The people are the protagonists usually hostile or desperate. Fells authority is understaffed hopeless: there are only " three and a half officers" (one is unable to walk ) for the whole district ( fur # 1). Despite the desolate conditions Fell is determined to fight crime in the city.
Characters
- Richard Fell - The detective was transferred for reasons that he does not want to reveal ( Fell # 6), according to Snowtown. His ability to analyze people is remarkable. According to Ellis based on Neuro- linguistic methods Fells programming, to be followed by further elaborated in later editions of the series ( fur # 1).
- Lieutenant Beard - The lieutenant is Fells supervisor and head of the police station of Snowtown. Beard can the problems Snow Towns no longer have placed as cynicism and hopelessness, which is why it does not matter to him, like fur does his work ( coat # 1).
- Mayko - The bar owner Vietnamese origin is a first coat of acquaintances in Snowtown ( fur # 1). In its bar, the fur often visited, she tells him about Snowtown and the inhabitants of the city. In the course of the series, the two become friends.

Their meaning is unknown, but their behavior in the course of action becomes increasingly suspicious.
