Fenix*TX

Fenix ​​* TX is a Founded in 1995, American four -piece punk rock band from Houston, Texas, was originally called Riverfenix. This name was inspired by the American actor and musician River Phoenix, but had to be changed due to legal disputes.

Band History

The first EP called GBOH was released in 1996 on Fuzzgun Records. A year later, an album called Riverfenix at Drive-Thru Records. After the name change published Fenix ​​* TX also their album Riverfenix again, this was also renamed Fenix ​​* TX. In addition, the songs were slightly revised and replaced two songs. It appeared in 1999 at MCA Records, where she had been taken in the same year under contract. After the release of their second album Fenix ​​TX, the band from their drummer Donnie Reyes, whose position was taken by Damon Delapaz separated (previously guitarist of the band ). The new guitarist of the band was James Love, this was but a year later replaced by Chris Lewis. The total third album, Lechuza, sold over 600,000 copies ( Gold status ), but the band split due to creative difference of opinion in the year 2002.

After the separation, bassist Adam Lewis and drummer Damon Delapaz together founded a new band called Sing the Body Electric, while vocalist / guitarist Will Salazar and guitarist Chris Lewis, the band Denver Harbor founded.

In 2005 they gave their reunion known and released a live album called Purple Reign in Blood, which is accompanied by the tour of the USA and Japan. Just a year before the official reunification Fenix ​​* TX had played two live shows, which were filmed by Drive-Thru Records and should be released on DVD, but, curiously, never happened. In 2009, the band was back again, stated that they again play from now on in the original Riverfenix line-up. In addition, the band in October 2010 played a European tour, which led, among other things, through France, Germany and England.
