Ferdinand Wenauer
Ferdinand " Nandl " Wenauer ( born April 26, 1939 in Nuremberg, † July 27, 1992 ) was a German football player and two-time German champion with the 1st FC Nuremberg.
The first steps as a footballer he graduated from the youth of the ASV Nürnberg-Süd. There was his father, who was a professional detective, youth leaders. The former club youth leader Andreas White brought " Nandl " with 15 years for Zabo in the hands of the successful youth coach Fritz Kreissel. Come of age took over the further shaping of hopeful Stopper talent, the Austrian Franz Altinternationale " Bimbo " Binder. In the 1960/61 season then succeeded with the new coach Herbert Widmayer of winning the German championship against Borussia Dortmund. After his playing days, the trained printer dedicated to his stationery shop in the Outer Laufer Gasse in Nuremberg. He played three years with the adjacent 1 FC Herzogenaurach, then he coached the Nuremberg district TSV Altenfurt and SpVgg Jahn Forchheim. Later he worked also at the Central Franconian country division FSV Bad Windsheim. The Nuremberg international was only 53 years old - he died on July 27, 1992 of heart failure.
