Ferenc Keserű

Ferenc Keseru ( born August 27, 1903 in Budapest, † July 16, 1968 ) was a Hungarian water polo player.

Keseru took part in 1924 for the first time in the Olympic Games, when he finished in Paris with the Hungarian water polo national team to fifth place. Four years later, he reached in Amsterdam with the Hungarian team the finals and lost there first against the team from Germany with 2:5 and took silver. Again, four years later, at the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, the Hungarian team took revenge for this defeat and beat Germany in the decisive final game 6-2. Hungary was Olympic champion and won Keseru, along with his teammates Bródy György Sándor Ivády, Olivér Halassy, József Vértesy, János Németh Márton Homonnay, his brother Alajos Keseru, Miklós Sárkány and István Barta, his first and only gold medal.
