Ferfer (also Fer Fer; Feerfeer Somali, Amharic ፌርፌር FerFer ) is a place near the river Shabelle, on the border between Ethiopia and the Hiiraan region in Somalia. Within Ethiopia Ferfer is the capital of the eponymous Woreda Ferfer in the Gode Zone of the Somali Region.

2005, Ferfer, according to the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia 4,411 inhabitants. According to the 1997 census, 2,956 inhabitants were all Somali. Clans are the most important Hawadle - Hawiye and Reer Aw Hassan.

Because of its location on the border Ferfer was affected by the conflict between Somalia and Ethiopia to the Ogadengebiet. So it came as part of the brief border war in 1964 to combat.
