Fertile (Iowa)
Fertile is a small village in Worth County, Iowa, United States. It has around 360 inhabitants (as of 2000) over an area of 147.8 square kilometers.
Geography
Fertile located in northern Iowa - east of Forest City (Iowa). Due to the location of Winhebago flows.
History
Fertile was founded in 1789 by a Dutchman. 1856 attracted the first settlers to Fertile. However, the place itself was not founded until 1877, and this is the place name to point out the good soil quality.
Agriculture
In Fertile there are still many corn farmers and a small stream which flows through the fields and through the woods.
Sports
Every year in Fertile instead of a bike race, to participate in the cycling clubs from all over the state and is visited by around 6,000 spectators. Fertile, together with Hanlon Town a bike club with 16 members. 2009 joined the site Joice, Forest City and Ventura joined the bike club on 14 June 2010.
