Fidel Nadal

Fidel Nadal ( born October 4, 1965 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine singer and songwriter, who is due to the style reggae. He was known to 2000, primarily as frontman of the band Todos Tus Muertos, but then launched a solo career.

Biography

Nadal grew up in an academic family in Buenos Aires, his mother was an anthropologist, his father a film director. By his own account he was strongly influenced by the music that heard his parents, mainly blues and jazz. In 1984, he played for the first time as a singer in a band. A year later, he founded the band Todos tus Muertos, which blended reggae with punk influences and samples in their music. With this mixture, the group was very successful and already for the first album in 1988 she managed a record deal with Universal Music.

Over the Todos Tus Muertos 1990s toured several times through Latin America, among others, together with the French group Mano Negra, which followed a similar style. In 1994 he integrated with several other members of the band as a side project, the group Lumumba, whose style was closer to the classic reggae. After the dissolution of Todos Tus Muertos and Lumumba in 2000, he launched a solo career in which he approached more Conscious of the flow of reggae. As Todos tus Muertos newly founded in 2004, Nadal did not attend the reunion. It came in the wake disputes between Nadal and the band around the copyright of some songs that were composed by him.
