Finnish Championships in Athletics
The Finnish Athletics Championships are held since 1907. They found since up to the year 1941, when the championships failed due to the war, a year. In Finland, the championships under the name Kalevan kisat ( Finnish) or Kalevaspelen ( Swedish), organized to German Kaleva games. The name goes back to the insurance company Kaleva, 1910 auslobte a winning dish for the best team in the Track and Field Championships. Record winner is the club Helsingin Kisa - Veikot.
The competitions of men and women are discharged together since 1959. Previously, there was 1945-1958 own championships for women.
