The parliamentary elections in Finland 1987 was held on 15 and 16 March 1987. It was the election of the 30th Parliament of Finland.

The Social Democratic Party remained with slight losses strongest force, while the conservative National Coalition Party won nine seats to. The greatest losses drove the people Democrats and the country party.

The turnout was 76.4 %, which is 4.6 percentage points below the turnout at the last parliamentary election in 1983.

After the election

After the election, the Social Democrats and Conservatives formed a grand coalition under the leadership of the Conservative Harri Holkeri. The coalition was supported by the Swedish People's Party and the Country Party of Finland, but resigned in 1990 from the government.
