Firmine Richard

Firmine Richard ( born September 25, 1947 in Pointe -à- Pitre, Guadeloupe ) is a French actress guadeloupischer origin.

Richard was known in 1989 by her feature film debut in Coline Serreaus milk chocolate and a wide French cinema audience. In the romantic comedy, the Frenchwoman was seen in the female lead role of a cleaning lady who (played by Daniel Auteuil ) repeatedly helps the head of a yoghurt factory out of trouble. Richard then appeared regularly in French film and television productions of all genres, including Dino Risi's drama Grandpa goes crazy with Vittorio Gassman and Dominique Sanda, was subscribed but usually on minor supporting roles. Following the success of her first film role, she was again only in 2001 with François Ozon's crime comedy 8 Women tie, in which, among other things, Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert and Emmanuelle Béart were her film partners. The role of the mistress of the femme fatale Fanny Ardant brought her to the rest of the female ensemble cast 2002 the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival for the most outstanding artistic achievement and the European Film Award for Best Actress.
