Genesis

While the emergence of the compilation 20 Years of Dischord (2000) Ian MacKaye searched the old, archived recordings of his label Dischord Records and listened to all the old recordings. He also discovered a cassette with old recordings of Minor Threat, who had emerged even before the publication of the Minor Threat EP. The shots came from the February or March 1981, soon after the founding of the band and were, as all the recordings of Minor Threat, in the Inner Ear Studio in Washington, DC made. Henry Rollins ( at that time still Henry Garfield ) was involved as a guest singer. The tape was then produced by Minor Threat and Skip Groff and then disappeared into the archives. 2001, the recordings were remastered and 2003 as a 7'' and published CD. These were indeed just to old recordings and no undiscovered, new songs, but the songs were clearly different from the original versions.
