Complete Discography is a compilation of hardcore punk band Minor Threat. She appeared in 1989 on Dischord Records.

Background

The compilation contains all the songs that have been recorded between 1981 and 1983 by Minor Threat. It is also the first CD release of the band. So that it includes all releases of the band, including the two songs and Stand Up 12XU ( a wire cover version ) from the Flex Your Head sampler. The only hitherto unreleased studio recordings, demo recordings of the first two EPs, appeared only in 2003 on First Demo Tape. The song You Betrayed Me by Growing Up was not discovered until later.

The first released in 1989 on CD. The original pressing shows the from the Minor Threat EP and the compilation First Two 7 " s on a 12 " well-known photo of Alex MacKaye as a skinhead, who sits on the floor and buries his face in his arms. On the first publication of the cover was kept in red, republishing was published in 2009 with a blue cover. The booklet contains all the lyrics of the band, with the exception of the spoken passages at Out of Step and three cover versions Steppin 'Stone ( Boyce and Hart ), 12XU (Wire) and Good Guys ( Do not Wear White ) ( Edd Cobb for The Standells ). The 2003 version was remastered at Silver Sonya Studio.

Minor Threat is considered a cult band in the hardcore punk scene and as a pioneer of the straight edge movement, accordingly, great was the demand for this compilation. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of Allmusic For the album is a landmark of hardcore punks and is good for getting into the hardcore punk scene. However, he also says that many songs would not sound contemporary by today's standards.
