Five for Fighting

Five for Fighting is the stage name of singer-songwriter John Ondrasik ( born January 7, 1968 in San Fernando Valley, California). He managed with America Town in 2000, the breakthrough. The name is a term used in hockey and is five minutes sending-off for a bad tackle. Ondrasik took this name because he thought the name was easier to remember than his own. The music is attributed to the piano rock.

Five for fightings first album Message for Albert was a commercial failure, but it was re-released by Capitol Records after the great success of America Town. The second album America Town was thanks to the song Superman ( It's not easy ) successfully. This song was more than 30 weeks in the Billboard Top 100 's third album The Battle for Everything was also a great success in America. On 1 August 2006, his fourth album, Two Lights appeared with the single from the album The Riddle.

While Five for Fighting is especially popular with adult contemporary radio stations in America, it is rather unknown in Europe, but are some songs in American series such as Dawson 's Creek, Scrubs - Smallville, The OC, JAG, Joan of Arcadia or Criminal to hear Minds.
