Fixin

Fixin is a commune and one of the northern wine-growing villages of the Côte de Nuits in the department of Côte- d'Or in Burgundy with 758 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). It is located about five miles south of Dijon.

Attractions

  • Approximately 650 m above the village lies the Parc Noisot. There, standing in the forest that established by François Rude monument " Éveil de Napoléon à l' immortalité ". It was the time donated by an officer of his Imperial Guard.
  • In the hamlet Fixey the oldest church in the Côte d'Or is from the 10th century with a roof in the style of the Hôtel- Dieu de Beaune

The winemakers of Fixin can sell their wine selection, under the community name or a Côte de Nuits -Villages. The wines have a strong resemblance to those of Gevrey - Chambertin, but leave its luster miss a little. Particularly noteworthy among the Premiers Crus are Clos de la Perrière and Clos du Chapitre. Both layers are located on the western edge.
