Florent Laville

Florent Laville ( born August 7, 1973 in Valence ) is a former French footballer.

Career

Laville, who was trained in his youth at Olympique Lyon, was 20 years old when he first went aground at the beginning of 1994 for the Erstligamannschaft of the club. Then he managed to become a regular player in a team, which in 1995 reached the second place in the standings, giving the player at the same time earning his first experience in European competition. A year later, the club failed in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue at FC Metz, which Laville missed a possible first title.

In the same year he was invited to the 1996 Olympic Games; in football tournament he succeeded with the French selection of the way to the quarterfinals, however, that brought the resignation in a tournament with them, in the Laville was not progressed beyond use in the group stage.

Internal club he occupied on a regular place until he incurred a severe knee injury in the course of the season 2000/ 01. After he had recovered from this, the grown around the Swiss Patrick Müller competition was stronger than before, so he had lasting difficulties in returning to the first team. He failed, so he was involved in the Championship in 2002 with no more than 13 missions; a year earlier he had been able to celebrate by winning the Coupe de la Ligue another success.

In January 2003, he was made in view of its continuing difficult situation in Lyon to the English first division club Bolton Wanderers. First, he ran there regularly, then injured but recovered again and then bad, so he was loaned to second division club Coventry City in February 2005. Laville returned in the summer of 2005 not to Bolton back, but pulled out a change in the second French league before, when he signed with the Corsican side SC Bastia. In Bastia, he held a regular place until he had to undergo a cervical surgery, in September 2006 and did not return back into playing mode. In the spring of 2007, he officially announced the age of 33, the end of his career.
