Coventry City F.C.

Coventry City ( officially: Coventry City Football Club ) - known because of sky blue and white club colors by the nickname The Sky Blues - is an English football club based in Coventry. 2012, the club from the Football League Championship, the second English top, descended and is now playing in League One.

Association

The club was founded in 1883. By 2005, the club played in the Highfield Road, which offered last 23 633 spectators ( Record Attendance: 51 455 spectators on April 29, 1967 against Wolverhampton Wanderers ). From the season 2005 /06 to 2013, the multifunctional Ricoh Arena was ( Capacity: 32,500 seats) home to the Sky Blues.

After disputes over unpaid rent stadium, the club took off in March 2013 from the stadium. Presently contributes Coventry City 's home games, up to and including season 2016/17, in the Sixfields Stadium in Northampton from.

Greatest success was the victory in the final of the FA Cup on May 16, 1987 compared with the Tottenham Hotspurs. In league football, sixth place was the best result in the first division 1969/70.
