Steven Pressley

Steven John Pressley ( born October 11, 1973 in Elgin, Scotland ) is a former Scottish footballer and current coach of the English third division side Coventry City. With 306 missions he is the record player in the Scottish Premier League

Playing career

Pressley grew up in Dalgety Bay and played in the youth last in the neighboring town on the BC Inverkeithing, before in 1990 he got his first professional contract with the Glasgow Rangers. In 1994 he moved to England for 600,000 pounds to Coventry City, where he could not get a foothold due to a serious injury and returned a year later to Scotland to Dundee United, back. In 1998 he moved to Heart of Midlothian, where Pressley final breakthrough; he was captain of the team and the Scottish national team. In January 2007, the veteran defender moved to Glasgow at Celtic and played there until 2008.

Coaching career

FC Falkirk

On 11 February 2010, the previous assistant coach Steven Pressley took over the head coaching job at the Scottish first division club FC Falkirk, but increased at the end of the season from the Scottish Premier League 2009/ 10 in the second division from. In the seasons 2010/11 and 2011/ 12, he led his team to third place in the standings each of the Scottish Football League First Division.

Coventry City

On March 8, 2013 Pressley was introduced as the new coach of the English third division side Coventry City.
