Florian Metz

Florian Metz ( born September 18, 1985 in Zwettl, Lower Austria ) is an Austrian football player.

Career

A native of Lower Austria, began his football career in the youth team of SC Zwettl. After a very good performance in Zwettl he moved to the Frank -Stronach Academy and graduated from the Matura. In summer 2004 he came across the academy in the squad of FK Austria Wien. The debut in the Bundesliga he celebrated 18 years in the derby against Rapid Vienna. His biggest success was winning the championship in 2006, and three OFB Cup triumphs with the Viennese. In summer 2009, he moved to LASK Linz and avansierte there to a fixed part of the team. A pubic bone inflammation put him completely out of action for 2011, but after only 3 weeks of injury free he fell with a complicated meniscus injury until the spring of 2013. In the meantime, the LASK received no Bundesliga license and had to descend directly to the Regionalliga. Florian then moved to Salzburg FC Liefering where he earliest in March 2013 can give his competitive debut. Since July 2013 he is playing again with his hometown club SC Zwettl.

Internationally, he played 15 times for the U -21 selection in Austria.
