The coat of arms of the velvet municipality Flotwedel is a water wheel with four spokes and 18 blades with two rivers ( top and bottom). Here are the four spokes for the four communities that make up the Municipality and the 18 blades for the 18 villages belonging to the integrated municipality. The two rivers are the rivers Aller ( upper river) and Fuhse (lower river ) The meaning of these flows on the coat of arms is that all 18 villages are situated between these rivers.
