Folgefonna Tunnel

The Folgefonntunnel is a traffic tunnel in Norway. The einröhriger road tunnel between Eitrheim in the municipality of Odda and Mauranger in the community Kvinnherad in the Norwegian province (county ) Hordaland. It is equipped with 11,137 m of third-longest road tunnel in Norway ( Stand: 01/ 2014).

The tunnel was opened after three years of construction on 15 June 2001. The construction was financed by tolls (72 NOK / cars). The toll is expected to be collected through 2016.

It crosses a part of the Folgefonna National Park.
