Force Attack

Force Attack was a music festival, which was held annually on the last weekend in July, near Rostock. Many punk, ska, Oi -, hardcore, psychobilly bands performed over three days ( Friday to Sunday ) on a main stage and a tent stage. As colorful as the program was the audience of the festival.

The festival was considered the largest Punkerparty world. The number of visitors in 2009 was according to the organizers, about 8,000.

History

The first Force Attack festival in 1997 found in Barth and 1998 in Rerik instead. At that time there were 26 bands who made over two days on two stages for entertainment. From 1999 to 2008 he was Behnkenhagen, northeast of Rostock, the venue. As early as 2000, the festival was extended to three days and increased the number of bands accordingly. Since then, the festival drew thousands of visitors on a regular basis. From 2009, the Festival took place in south of Rostock located blades village. Due to heavy rains, the festival moved in 2011 to little visitors. In 2012, the land in blades village was no longer available and it was looking for a replacement site for the festival. After several rejections, among others from the Arena Berlin, the festival should take place as a solo party declared replacement event at the Tank House grounds in Stavenhagen. This was first banned by the city by prohibition, but eventually allowed subject to conditions but in 2013 the festival has been banned months in advance of the Stavenhagen. An attempt was made to find an alternate site, this was not successful.
