Foreign Affair is the seventh studio album by Tina Turner. It was published in September 1989 by Capitol Records. The album reached # 1 in Germany, Austria, the UK and Switzerland and # 31 in the U.S..
History
Foreign Affair was produced by Dan Hartman and indeed could not quite match the success of Private Dancer and Break Every Rule, but reached in major European countries, the peak position of the charts and multi-platinum status. It has sold over six million copies.
Of the twelve rock-pop songs to The Best became an international hit, but the other singles as Steamy Windows, I Do not Wanna Lose You and the title track made it into the charts.
Criticism
On the website Allmusic.com the critics were 3 of 5 stars. Besides the songs "mature" am thinking in particular Undercover Agent of the blues to the most interesting pieces, it was "one of the finest pop - blues performances since BB King's The Thrill Is Gone. "
