Fort de Tancrémont

The Fort Tancremont was the smallest of the forts of the extended ring fortress of Liege. The facility has the floor plan of an irregular quadrilateral, and was built simultaneously with the Belgian Fort Eben -Emael. During the Second World War, the fort was no longer bothered because of the ongoing successful at Eben- Emael attack and was able to hold out against the German aggressor, therefore, to May 29, 1940. The fort is now on the road from Banneux by Verviers and can be visited as a museum.
