Fosforito

Antonio Fernández Díaz known as Fosforito (* 1932 in Puente Genil, Cordoba, Spain ) is a Spanish flamenco singer and winner of various awards.

Before he started as a professional music, his stage name was Antonio de Puente Genil. The name Fosforito was also used by the flamenco singer Francisco motto. He joined the Concurso Nacional 1956 de Cante Jondo in Córdoba. After 1922 in Granada, which was the second competition, which was organized by Manuel de Falla, Federico García Lorca and other representatives of the Andalusian and Spanish culture. In this occasion the then unknown 23 -year-old flamenco singer showed his skills. By 2010, he has published more than 25 plates.
