Fox the Fox

Fox the Fox was a Dutch disco - funk band, founded in 1981 by the singer Bert Tamaela and Sylhouette Musmin. Their only big hit was the single Precious Little Diamond.

Band History

Tamaela and Musmin founded the band in 1981. Among the permanent members included the addition of bassist Gino Jansen, guitarist Kier Van De Werf, keyboardist Roy Kuschel and the drummer Tjalling Bos. Musmin wrote all the lyrics of the band.

Fox the Fox, published two years after the founding of the single Flirting and Showing that flopped at first. Only after Precious Little Diamond 1984 reached the 5th place in the German single charts, also Flirting and Showing rose to a top 40 position. The subsequent singles and albums were not successful.

After the departure of Tamaela the band broke up in 1990.
