Franc Kangler

Francesco Kangler ( born July 8, 1965 in Maribor) is a Slovenian politician (formerly SLS). He was a Member of Parliament from 2006 to the end of 2012 Mayor of Maribor.

Kangler grew up in Marburg suburb Duplek. Before his political career he was a cop and worked after Slovenia's independence in the Interior Ministry. 1996 Francesco Kangler was chosen for the Slovenian People's Party in the Slovenian National Assembly. He retained his seat after the 2000 elections and in 2004 and remained there until he retired in 2007 to his new office Mayor professional practice.
